Welcome to SKUSD News!
  Believe it or not only one month remaining for the end of the school year.  During the 
month of May school administration and staff continue to provide student instruction and
encourage appropriate school behavior. The final planning for end of the year activities and award assemblies are in progress.
 
Bienvenido a SKUSD News. 
Lo creas o no sólo un mes queda para el final del año escolar. Durante el mes de mayo la administración escolar continúe enseñando estudiantes y fomentar comportamientos apropiado de la escuela. Los planes para actividades de fin de año y las asambleas de premios están en curso.

LCAP (Local Control Accountability Plan)

Attend a school board meeting on Monday, May 12th at 6:30PM. Public input from all stakeholders is essential. Bring your neighbor and we hope to see you at 3082 Glendower Street at the School District Office in Rosamond.

Enroll your Pre-Schooler and Kindergartener now!  

Enrollment is in progress at both Rosamond Elementary and Westpark Elementary Schools. Pick up a registration form at either school office. Preschooler must be 4 years old on or before September 1st. 

 

Inscriba a su niño en edad preescolar  y Kindergartener ahora!  
La inscripción estáen curso en Rosamond y Westpark Escuelas Primarias. Recoge documentos inscripciones en cualquiera oficina de la escuela. Niños en edad preescolar debe tener 4 años cumplidos el 1 de Septiembre.

Technology News
ALL the one on one ThinkPads have embedded security which allows for location detection of each device. Security software allows for authorized IT personnel to disable the device and retrieve data remotely.

United Street Park is under Renovation. 2/3 of the park is fenced off for maintenance,  leveling, and re-seeding. Fences are scheduled to be removed in late June. 
 United Street Park se encuentra en restauración. 2/3 del parque está cercado para el mantenimiento, la nivelación y resiembra. Las cercas deben ser retiradas a finales de junio.
Congratulations to the Child Nutrition Department...
for a successful audit. The last audit was five years ago.
Superintendent Weinstein said "I am proud of  the Food Service department for completion of a CDE (California Department of Education) audit with minor findings."  No financial findings were found. The entire child nutrition staff are to be commended for their attention to the details of their job. Thank you! 
Felicitaciones alDepartamentode servicio de alimentos...  para una buena auditoría. La última auditoría fue hace cinco años. Superintendente Weinstein dijo: "Estoy orgulloso del departamento Comida Servicio para la realización de una auditoría de CDE (Departamento de Educaciónde California) con los resultados de menor importancia." No se encontraron resultados financieros. TODO el personal de nutrición merecen aplausos por su atención a los detalles de
su trabajo. Gracia!
