Individual Plan Broker Commissions

Meritus is diligently working to ensure that your commissions are paid accurately and paid on time. Due to some of the enrollment challenges we faced during the annual Open Enrollment Period, we have encountered some system issues with processing broker commissions. With this in mind, our commission team is currently auditing the January and February commission calculations to ensure you have been paid correctly.

 

In an effort to not delay March commission payments, we will be issuing checks today, April 10th for commissions on March paid premium only, as part of the normal commission cycle. We will then recalculate January and February commissions and based on the audit findings, will provide adjustments on the May 10th commission cycle.

 

We appreciate your business and thank you for your patience during this process. If you have any questions, please direct them to your Account Executive at Meritus.

Jim will continue to guide Meritus's growthKelly Schoonmaker has been promoted to Director of Sales and Product Management. Kelly has been instrumental in helping us build and manage our small business portfolio. In her previous role Kelly was a critical contributor to the redesign of our current portfolio of plans, as well as managing group sales. Kelly brings to Meritus her broad commercial insurance background and experience.

Small Group-Important Reminders

The cutoff date to submit a new Group Application is no later the 23rd  of the month, and enrollment must be completed by the 28th of the month. 

Once a group's Group Application is approved, the selected rating methodology (composite or age rated) cannot be changed until the renewal date.

MeMD - Telemedicine for all Meritus members with a $0 copay

MeMD is the fastest, most convenient way to see a medical provider online or by phone for common conditions such as sinus infections, seasonal allergies, sprains and strains, cold and flu symptoms, pink eye, UTI's, sore throat, skin inflammation and more. Meritus members can receive treatment from home, the office or even while on vacation, all online or by phone. MeMD is a $0 copay for all Meritus Members. This service can also be used for various prescription refills - some restrictions apply. Meritus Members Self-Service - How to Use their Member Portal
After receiving their Meritus ID Card and Member Packet, Meritus Members will receive two letters in the mail - one with their Member portal user name and the other with their temporary password.   

 

Meritus members can easily access most of the information they are looking for via their Member Portal.

How to Make a Payment and Set Up Auto Payments

Good news!  Meritus members do not need to log in to make a payment. Simply go to our website: meritusaz.com and select the Make a Payment button on the homepage. They will need to know their Members ID Number, whether they are enrolled in an HMO or PPO, and their monthly premium amount. Members can also use the attached form to set up auto payments going forward. Simply fill it out and send it back.

 

*Please be advised that even though a payment is made and/or auto payments are set up, members will continue to receive a monthly bill in the mail.
