Design Trend
Remember the joys of sliding back in your favorite beanbag as a kid? Why not recreate some of that childhood fun with a quirky addition to your casual space. These "Gumball" style ottomans are our pick for a whimsical design trend. Like accent pillows these cozy puffs come in a plethora of colors and textiles, and can be changed out seasonally. Similar to ottomans featured in Elle Decor, the sky is the limit when it comes to quickly adding a touch of personality and comfort. What is pulling viewers from New York city's MET, Rome and around the world to the Dallas Ft Worth area? It is none other than the Bernini exhibit at The Kimbell. Forty terra cottas by Bernini, the 17th century Italian master, along with thirty drawings are on display with huge photo murals behind them to illustrate how the finish marble statues appear. Meet Kayla, Our New Intern!
Full of energy and creativity, Kayla has recently relocated to the Dallas area from Indiana and has started working as an SDG intern this spring. She's studying to achieve her Bachelors of Arts in Interior Design. In addition to previous work experience in the field of event management, Kayla has also worked in IT sales and as a design drawing tutor at Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
