Message from the Superintendent       

   I'm sure the pressing question that most students, parents and faculty have right now is: Will we have to make up the snow day we had in February? Let me quickly set minds at ease and let you know the answer is "no." We will not have to make up that snow day.



Fall enrollment dates set

The 2013-14 school year may seem distant now, but  Secondary Education Director Holly Nevels and Elementary Education Director Celeste Scott said fall enrollment dates have been set. Their hope is releasing the dates now will aid families in summer planning.

NORMAN, Okla. - Norman Public Schools has announced its 2013 District Teacher of the Year finalists. Nonprofit taps Madison teacher  

for its highest teacher honor   

Madison Elementary special education teacher Gay Smith has been selected the 2013 Sooner AMBUCS Special Education Teacher of the Year, which carries with it a cash prize of $500.  AMBUCS is a nonprofit service organization that seeks to create mobility and independence for people with disabilities. It has 135 chapters in 30 states.



New BOE member takes Oath,  

new President elected

  Elected on Feb. 12, new NPS Board of Education member Cindy Nashert took the Oath of Office at a special meeting of the Board on Monday, Feb. 18, and the Board of Education voted to elect a new President and Vice President.
