Message from the Superintendent
The strong community partnerships we have in Norman were no more evident than they were today. Working in close contact with the Norman Police Department, we locked down all of our schools from approximately 10:15 to 12:30 while NPD worked an incident with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol involving two suspects that could have been armed and were believed to be in south Central Norman. We maintained close communications with NPD during that period of time and lifted the lockdown as soon as NPD believed it was advisable for us to do so.
