Impact aid funding possible for NPS
School districts throughout the nation each year submit paperwork to the federal government for what is called Impact Aid funding for their schools. Impact Aid is based on the number of students in attendance whose parents:
- Live and work on federal property
- Are military or federal employees working on federal property
- Are in active military service
Currently, NPS does not receive Impact Aid but district officials believe it is eligible. Read More >>

NHS, NNHS both making state championship run

Tonight, both NNHS and NHS will continue their bid for a 6A varsity football state championship. In Week 2 of the playoffs, both teams are just two games away for being able to play in the championship game either Nov. 30 or Dec. 1 at Boone Pickens Stadium at Oklahoma State University. Read More >>

This weekend: The Music Man
Every year, each high school produces a world-class musical production, as well as a drama production for the greater Norman community. Last night, Norman High School debuted its production of "The Music Man" at the Nancy O'Brian Center for Performing Arts; repeat performances will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

Not too late to 'Walk for Wishes'
Tomorrow, Norman North's DECA club will be the first high school in the nation to sponsor a "Walk for Wishes," and it's not too late for Norman walkers and runners to take part, organizers say.
