RBS Achievers of the Year
|
Michael Mahlberg, Alumni of The First Tee of Greater Sacramento,
has been selected as one of ten finalists of The First Tee's 'RBS Achievers of the Year' award. The award will be presented at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra, FL on Saturday, October 3, during the season-ending Web.com Tour Championship.
The 'RBS Achievers of the Year' award recognizes ten deserving participants of The First Tee for accomplishments in their daily lives while overcoming adversity. Michael was selected among a pool of national candidates for exhibiting perseverance, one of The First Tee Nine Core Values™, while demonstrating leadership, active community service and teamwork.
As a finalist for this national award, Michael will receive a scholarship and will be celebrated, along with the other winners, during the special event. Two winners, one male and one female, will each receive $15,000 scholarships, and the eight remaining finalists will each receive $4,000 in scholarships to be used to support their continued education.
We have had only four others from our chapter ever receive this distinction and we are thrilled for Michael. He is a special young man who has a big bright future ahead of him.
