We thank all of our scholarship donors for making possible the scholarship awards provided to our 2015 scholars. In total, $8,500 was awarded to these juniors as they begin their college educations. In addition to the scholarship awards, Daniel Gregg was presented with "Firstee" award to recognize his outstanding community service.

Awards were handed out after play at our 24th annual Jr Sr Championship on July 31st, at Haggin Oaks. We had some creative teams hoping to win best dressed honors. There was a tie for 1st Place between all American red, white & blue team with Alex Winters, Kyle Escobar, Thomas Coppola & Kellen Arceo and Chisay & Taro Arai sporting Sponge Bob. This year we had several honorable mentions.

It was an excellent event and we THANK the many players & contributors who helped make this such a memorable day!
Sun City Roseville

For 13th years, juniors from The First Tee of Greater Sacramento have paired with Sun City Roseville residents for the "Hi-Five Event".  Four seniors are paired with one junior in a team format that raises funds for golferships and college scholarships. To date, this effort has raised over $45,000 in funds to support our young people!  We are very grateful for this partnership and appreciate all the continued support from the Sun City Roseville community.

Little Linkers TOC
On August 23rd, 42 juniors ages 7-12 competed in the Hugh & Peggy Campbell Little Linkers Tournament of Champions. Special thanks to The Morton Golf Foundation for their wonderful support of this event.

Little Linkers is an eight-week competitive playing program for boys and girls ages 7-12 years old. Since its inception, in 1983, Little Linkers has been a model program for golf courses across the nation as a way to have young people compete on a course sized to their abilities. Today, this program is held at five area golf courses: Bing Maloney, Diamond Oaks, Haggin Oaks, William Land and Woodcreek.

Congratulations to all of the players for making it into the the tournament of champions. The little linkers played nine holes, with 7 players scoring below par. Our overall boys champion was Zachery Pollo age 10 with a 32 and Kaylyn Noh age 11 with a 36.

Hole in One

DJ Ekkelboom got his first hole in one at the Arcade Creek Course -Haggin Oaks during Junior Linkers Play League, from 62 yards with his sand wedge.

His favorite core value is Sportsmanship because it does not matter who wins or loses as long as he can play the game with his other team mates and it is enjoyable.

Where are they now?
