Become a Friend today

Joining us as a friend of The First Tee of Greater Sacramento is one of the easiest ways you can encourage kids to become men and women of character. Your partnership is an investment with proven dividends - shown in countless success stories like Kristen Red Horse and Cameron Champ, two recent champions in life, on and off the course.

A few more reasons to become a Friend
  • 100% of your donations and contributions stay in the Sacramento region.
  • Many friend levels to choose from beginning at $20.
  • The First Tee of Greater Sacramento conducts programs for people with physical and developmental disabilities such as California Eagles and Adaptive PE.
  • We partner with various community groups including Boys and Girls Clubs, Centers for Father and Families, Latino Junior Golf, LifeSteps and other inner city programs to provide outreach programs at their locations.
  • It feels really good to give.

Coaches Training Day

On March 13, 2014, The First Tee of Greater Sacramento hosted its annual Program Location Training Day!  We are proud to announce that over 20 coaches and volunteers came together to learn how to enhance the program experience for our participants.  Coaches and volunteers, both returning and new to the program found the day to be a great success.  The First Tee of Greater Sacramento is very excited to see so many adults helping today's youth.  Thank you to all coaches and volunteers for your efforts in making The First Tee of Greater Sacramento a program in which all youth feel welcome!

Bailey Furgeson

Bailey joined The First Tee of Greater Sacramento in 2007, and along with playing in the junior tour, she attended the Life Skills & Leadership Academy in 2009, was on The First Tee A/B Honor Roll 4 times, and selected as one of the America's Future in 2010.  She is currently a junior at St. Mary's in San Antonio, Texas and obtained an internship as the StMU representative for Career Athletes, a networking site for collegiate athletes across the country.  Bailey has continued to volunteer for The First Tee of San Antonio with her teammates, along with volunteering with the Morton Golf Foundation when home in Sacramento during summer vacation.  This spring, Bailey will be serving on the Women's History Month Committee as she puts on a clinic to demonstrate to her peers and professors the benefits of golf for women in the business world.
