2014 Junior Golf Programs
|
The After School Year Round Program has improved for the 2014 calendar year! We are very excited to announce that a participant can now participate in the program more than one weekday per week. Select your desired program location below and then you may choose to participate one, two or three days a week. This year we will be offering a more flexible schedule, and hope to not only bring more awareness to the Life Skill Program, but also improve golf skills, help children reach their Certification goals more readily, as well as assist in the progression into other programs such as play leagues more frequently.

National School Programs Expands in 2014
|
In 2009, in an effort to continue to bring our mission to the youth of our area, The First Tee of Greater Sacramento introduced The First Tee National Schools Program to the Sacramento City Unified School District. For the past five years, over 4,000 youth annually have received character education through The National School Program at 9 Sacramento City Unified Schools. In 2013, we added 5 new schools in the Galt Joint Unified School District increasing our total reach to nearly 8,000.
Thanks to generous donations from AT & T, NCR and Nick Watney we are able to expand this program even further in 2014. As a result of this wonderful support, we are excited to announce that we will be able to more than double our reach to the youth in the Sacramento Unified District by adding 14 new schools.
With this sponsorship, we will now be able to make a the difference in the lives of over 15,000 young people in our schools annually!
The focus of The First Tee National School Program is to establish a lifelong interest in golf by engaging young people in a structured golf curriculum that promotes personal character development within a physical education setting. The students from kindergarten through 5th grades receive lessons not only on the game of golf, but also nutrition and sportsmanship.
