Letter from our Executive Director
|
The First Tee of Greater Sacramento continues to be on the forefront of helping young people in the Sacramento region build character, core values and healthy habits through the game of golf.
2013 was a wonderful year of growth in our programs.
Some highlights include:
- We have more than doubled our reach in area elementary schools to include over 8,000 young people receiving Core Values education through their Physical Education classes and after school programs.
- TFTGS had more participants advance and certify through the Life Skills Experience this year than at any time in our chapter's history.
- In 2013, TFTGS partnered with UCP of Sacramento & Northern California to provide transportation and expand our Adaptive PE program to area high school students with disabilities.
- We have given over 70 golferships this year alone to juniors who otherwise would be unable to participate in our program.
Thank you for partnering with us to make a difference in the lives of Sacramento area youth. With your continued support we are looking forward to an even bigger and brighter 2014.
Angie Dixon

Join our winning team with a year-end gift!
|
Make your year-end gift to The First Tee of Greater Sacramento go further, thanks to a generous matching offer from The First Tee home office and our Legacy Partner, Johnson & Johnson. When you make a gift to TFTGS between now and Dec. 31, Johnson & Johnson will match 50% of your gift ... for every $2 raised, TFTGS will receive $1 in matching funds.
That's like adding 100 yards to your driver!
For example, your gift of $50 provides $75 for TFTGS, or your gift of $250 becomes $375 -- enough to provide three area youths with The First Tee core values and life skills education for the year!
Make your gift of $25, $50, $100 or more today as a holiday gift to yourself and kids throughout the Sacramento region. Your gift will help us grow our program in 2014 to reach over 2,000 participants at our local golf courses and to increase our reach in local area schools to over 9,000 children.
