Sara Scarlett is a senior at Woodland High School. She has been a member of The First Tee of Greater Sacramento since 2007. This January, Sara was selected as one of 32 participants to attend the 2013 Outstanding Participant Summit! Sara flies out today to enjoy a memorable trip to Nashville with participants from all around the country at The First Tee Network Meeting.
Sara has participated on the TFTGS Jr Tour and Junior Leadership Committee. She has achieved Ace Certification in her Life Skills, one of less than 100 participants in the nation ever to do so. Sara has volunteered her time as an assistant coach at our Saturday Jr Programs and various fundraising functions. In 2011, she was selected as a participant at the Nature Valley First Tee Open at Pebble Beach.

What is your dream foursome?
My Dad, Nick Watney, Stacy Lewis, and myself.
If a song was played at the first tee, what song would be played for you?
Good Riddance by Green Day. I joined The First Tee not knowing much about it and I can honestly say that I have had "The Time of My Life"
If you were stranded on a desert island, what three items would you take with you?
My iPod, a book, and my golf clubs.
What is the weirdest thing you have ever eaten?
When I was at a tournament in Las Vegas I ate caviar.
What is your favorite part about being a member of The First Tee of Greater Sacramento?I absolutely love all of the people I have met through The First Tee whether it is other participants, volunteers, board members, or directors. All of them have impacted my life in some way and I know that they will always be there for me. The First Tee of Greater Sacramento consists of some of my best friends.
