Deck the halls with local finds during Small Business Saturday on November 30th. As you prepare for the upcoming holidays, take advantage of this day and shop local in support of the many

businesses on our corridor. Go home with unique gifts perfect for friends and family along with a smile from a local merchant. Help the mom-and-pop shops of Lakewood end the year on the right foot during this Shop Small celebration. Grab your cup o' joe to go and check out what our local shops have in store.

Seasonal Needs - Help Others with The Action Center
Tis' the season for giving back... Support community members this winter through The Action Center's Santa Shop, a program that provides more than 5,000 children with toys (new or gently used)--children whose families wouldn't normally be able to provide gifts due to financial hardship and crisis. All gently used coat, glove, hat and boot donations are greatly appreciated as well. For more info, click here.

Fallen Owl Tattoo is another great resource for donations through its Tattoos for Toys Drive benefiting The Action Center. Spread the magic of the holidays by donating unopened, unwrapped toys to Fallen Owl Tattoo (located at 8789 W. Colfax Ave.) by December 1st.

Thank you to everyone who donated holiday food to The Action Center's Thanksgiving Food Distribution

As the end of the year approaches, consider adding 40 West Arts to your list of charities to support with a tax-deductible gift. It's easy--click here to make a donation to support local art and artists. (Please see Donate button in left column.)
