ORIENTATION SCHEDULES
Students and Parents Grades 4 - 12
New Student Orientations are mandatory. If you are new to GOC, please mark the applicable dates listed below on your calendar and plan to attend. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend the
orientation sessions as well. Parents of students in grades 4-8 should plan to leave the campus after the parent orientation until student dismissal. After the grades 9-12 parent orientation, parents may choose to leave campus or wait in the auditorium for student dismissal at
11:30 a.m.
Students in grades 4-8 should bring a lunch with them to Orientation. (water and lemonade will be provided)

Parents 8:30 - 10 a.m.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL INFORMATION
The first day of school for returning and new GOC students in grades 4 - 12 will be Monday, August 15, 2016.
All students will have access to their courses beginning on Wednesday, August 10. While students can begin working in their courses, the official first day of classes will begin on Monday, August 15. All students work from home on the first day of school. The Learning Lab schedule begins the week of August 15 - 19. Students will be directed to the correct Learning Labs when they arrive on campus.

CAMPUS SCHEDULE OVERVIEW
Monday
Students in Grades 4-12 begin the week working in the online environment. All students work from home on this day.
Tuesday
Grade 9Learning and Science Labs9 a.m. - 12:10 p.m. Students may bring a lunch to stay for afternoon activities.
Grades 9-12
Help Session 1 - 2:30 p.m.
Life Lesson 2:30-3:30 p.m.
Grades 10-12 Science Labs 3:30-5:30 p.m.

Wednesday
Grades 4-6Learning Labs9 a.m. - 12:10 p.m. Students may bring a lunch to stay for afternoon activities.
Thursday
Grades 7-8Learning Labs9 a.m. - 12:10 p.m. Students may bring a lunch to stay for afternoon activities.
Friday
Grades 4-12 Campus Activities and Clubs
9 - 11:30 a.m. A variety of activities and clubs will be offered on Fridays. A schedule will be posted at the beginning of the year. Off-campus Rich Experiences will also be scheduled on Fridays.

ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL
Students should not enter the building until 8:45 a.m. for learning labs. Please do not drop off students prior to this time. There are no accommodations inside the building for parents to wait on students. Dismissal will begin at 12:10 p.m.
All students will be dismissed through the front doors. The side parking lot will not be used for dismissal.
Always remember that Hi Hope Road can never be blocked with cars waiting to pull into the line.
We appreciate your help in following these procedures so that the dismissal process will run smoothly.
Contribution forms are available in My Payments Plus. Each family should set up a My Payments Plus account in preparation to pay for any special activities at GOC during the school year. We appreciate your support for the various programs and activities at GOC.
BYOD
Students who have laptops should plan to bring their computers to campus for Learning Labs.
