This week we continued to meet with communities for our Foodshed Pilot Project. The Coalition staff traveled to Hinton, West Virginia to discuss the gaps, existing assets, and efforts to strengthen the growth of our local food system with producers in Summers County and Alderson, West Virginia. And, of course, to enjoy a delicious meal prepared by Chestnut Revival. Read about the meeting here.
It's that time of year again! The West Virginia Food & Farm Coalition is developing our 2017 legislative priorities that support the needs of our food and farm community. In this webinar we will attempt to demystify the mysterious, find out what questions farmers and buyers should be asking each other, and answer some of the burning questions about FSMA and food safety audits."
