On the Dance Floor...

See what's new with DOD!

It's Belly Dance this Saturday
2/14/15, 1-3 p.m.!

This Valentine's Day, join Dance Out Diabetes in a hip-swaying, shoulder-shaking Belly Dance Class with Anita!

Belly Dancing is a Western name for a traditional West Asian/Middle Eastern form of dance. This low-impact cardiovascular class is a great way to strengthen muscles throughout the body!

We'll be at the African American Art & Culture Complex located at 762 Fulton Street, San Francisco, CA 94102 (Muni access & free parking).

No need to register. Just show up! For $10, ($5 if you can't afford) you get a $277 value health screening.

Please arrive promptly at 1 p.m. for check-in (or 1:15 p.m. if you are not doing the health screening). Bring water, a snack if you need it, and comfortable shoes.

Happy Valentines Day
 from Grace

Welcome Everyone! hearts-icon.jpg

Now that we have our first dance under our belt, I would like to thank all the participants that made our January dance a success! I commend YOU. Even though there was a glitch at the facility, you still braved those elements and came to DANCE. I love it, this shows your dedication and commitment to keeping your numbers low and changing your lifestyle. YA HOO!!

I'd like to take this time to remind you of one of our fundraising efforts, we can all do this! If you ride BART (or know someone who does), collect all the tickets with left over amounts on them. (You know, the ones that have been stored in the back of the junk drawer). Bring them to the dance, and with the assistance of BART and the East Bay Foundation, those small value tickets turn into dollars for DOD! We will have a box set up for you to put the tickets into.

So let's keep dancing for the health of it!

To your health,

Grace
