It's Salsa with Elsa Rivera this Saturday
12/13/14, 1-3 p.m.!
(Download flyer & share with others HERE)
Join Elsa Rivera in a lively Salsa class that gets the arms moving and hips shaking for a fun workout everyone can enjoy.
We'll be at the African American Art & Culture Complex located at 762 Fulton Street, San Francisco, CA 94102 (Muni access & free parking).
No need to register. Just show up! You get a $277 value health screening, and if you dance, collect $20 in carrot cash (while supplies last) to spend at participating farmers' markets (for kids with diabetes and all adults who participate). The health screening is optional, but it is needed to get the carrot cash reward. We suggest a $10 donation at the door, if you can afford.
Please arrive promptly at 1 p.m. for check-in (or 1:15 p.m. if you are not doing the health screening). Bring water, a snack if you need it, and comfortable shoes.
Have a question? Call Theresa at 1-877-765-4386 or email her at tgarnero@danceoutdiabetes.org.
Stay tuned for more information on our January dance. We are confirming space and instructors, and we will let you know in January!

New Year, New Changes
A big "thank-you" to several existing founding Board of Directors!
To Rosie Castillo and her DJ, Treasurer/Secretary role. She will maintain her position on the Board and as the DJ. :)
To Michelle Barth for all her efforts in coordinating the volunteers for our monthly dances since the beginning. She will stay on the Board and you will see her at an occasional dance. For 2015, Kenzie will take on the role of Volunteer Coordinator. We ask that all volunteers commit to at least 6 of the 12 dances. Reminder emails will be sent before the dances. Thank you to our 2014 volunteers!
To Julisa Nunez for being with us from the very first dance. She also will remain on the Board and help out as a volunteer from time to time.
To Margaret Keyes for her dedication and support. She is rotating off the Board.
As for that Theresa Garnero chica, she will stay on the Board as Treasurer, and on as a CDE volunteer for many of the dances.
