Handy New Feature on KnowNOW!
Reminder Manager has been added to knowNOW! in the Practice Management section.

This handy feature can be used as a reminder to pay insurance premiums, bills, BAS, etc and helps make busy Practice Managers that much more efficient. Multiple tasks/reminders can be set for each reminder item. For example you can set up a reminder for each individual GP to provide their insurance policy to you each year.

One week prior to the due date for the reminder an alert will appear on the Home Page when an Administrator logs in and the due date will turn amber on the Reminder Manager page. From the due date until the task is "marked as done" the date will appear in red on both the Home Page and the Reminder Manager page.

An email is also sent to the "Account Owner" from one week prior to the reminder due date and then every day until the reminder is "marked as done". The due date for the next reminder will be automatically re-set.

Sign up today to receive a month's free trial of knowNOW! and once you realise how much it will help your practice it's just $30 per month which includes unlimited users!

PRACTICE TOP TIP FOR ACCREDITATION

Criterion 5.2.2 Doctor's bag
Our practice ensures that each GP has access to a doctor's bag

Your Doctor's bag should be fully equipped with core equipment, medications and stationery and kept in a secure place in accordance with state and territory legislation. Your practice should have a schedule for checking for out-of-date medicines and medical consumables so that this is done on a regular basis.
Practices should consider what medications need to be kept in the Doctor's bag - this may be determined by the location of the practice and the health needs of the community.

For more information on what needs to be contained in your Doctor's bag refer to
RACGP Standards for general practices 4th edition
ARE YOU READY FOR ACCREDITATION?
  • Have you made all the changes required for the transition from the 3rd to the 4th standards?
  • Have you actually implemented and documented the new procedures?
  • Is your practice team aware of these changes?
Medical Directions can help! We can customise a package to meet your practice needs.
