Happy Friday Coaches:

Thank you all for a wonderful Fall season! As the cold weather sets in and the snow will soon turn the green of the pitch to white, Evanston AYSO will be keeping busy preparing for Spring Kick Off.

While we hope you enjoy the coaching downtime, we do have a few items that need your attention:

EAYSO
Coaches, please go into EAYSO and make sure that all of your contact information is up to date. We create our email lists and track phone numbers based on what is in the system. Please double check to make sure everything is accurate.

ROSTERS:
Again, a reminder to review your rosters in EAYSO. If there are players who have dropped, never turned up, etc. and you are short, please send us an email with the following:
- Your name
- Age Bracket-Gender / Team Number (eg. U08B - 17)
- Name(s) of dropped players
- Number of players you need for a complete Roster

We will work on this during the off season. If you have already emailed us, you DO NOT need to do it again!

Also, please note that if there have been any "off the books" adds (i.e. you recruited that Brazilian kid who moved into your neighborhood in September), you need to notify us immediately. Unregistered players represent a potential liability to the organization, and we need to have all the players in the system.

If you don't do this, we will find out on Trophy Day, meaning, you will not have one for that player who never registered. Please don't let this happen.

SPRING SEASON:
The Spring Season will kick off on Sunday, April 14th, and the last game will be on Sunday, June 9th (before the D65 schools let out for the summer). There will NO GAMES Memorial Day weekend.

We will communicate this to the parents in a separate email, but this allows you to start your planning early!

WAIT LIST
We are compiling a wait list for the Spring. Some of you have told us that you have friends, neighbors, etc. who would like to get in on the act.

If you know someone who would like to join for the Spring, please share this:

A form is located at  Evanston AYSO Spring 2013 Wait List  where they can request placement on the Waitlist.  We will contact them if a spot opens up (though it may not be until after April 20).

PLAYER RATINGS:

At the end of the season, we will ask you to rate your players based on their skill level. The ratings help us to create balanced teams each season. During the offseason, we will be working on sets of guidelines for Coaches to use in their evaluations and hopefully have these ready for your before Spring Kick Off. That will give you 8 games and practices to observe your players on their own merits and benchmark them against players on other teams.

We have some work to do in this regard, and could use some help! If you would like to be a part of the "Ratings Team" during the off season, please let us know!

THE SHED:
I will be at the Shed from (roughly) 11:15 to 11:45 Sunday morning. If you have collected items for the Lost and Found, please feel free to drop by. If you are missing trophies from last season (you know who you are), please stop by and pick them up!

Thanks again Coaches! We had a great season and it is all thanks to you, your dedication and hard work.

Stay tuned for regular updates throughout the Fall/Winter. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have!

See you on the pitch!
