Happy Friday Coaches:

Apologies for sending this twice. The original email was sent with the wrong subject line. Read on for safety reminders!

Looks like the weather is going to be pitch perfect this weekend, creeping into the 70's with plenty of sunshine!

As our attention turns to our games this Sunday, we thought we would take a moment to issue a couple of reminders about safety.

SECURE THE GOALS:
For the first game of the day, I know we often delegate goal set up to parents. As the day progresses, we get busy and focus on starting on time, finishing on time, and heck, coaching our young players.

PLEASE: Before the start of every game - from the first to the last - please check the goals to make sure that they are properly staked and that the nets are properly secured. Had a couple of reports from parents that some goals were not properly secured two weeks back. As the players move up age groups, the goals get heavier. The safety of our young players is our number one priority.

Also, be sure to walk the field quickly to clear any dangerous debris.

JEWELRY:
No jewelry of any kind is permitted during games or practice. This includes, but is not limited to: Earrings, other piercings, watches, bracelets (metal, plastic or knit friendship included), rings, plastic and metal barrettes, and so on. Srucnhies (I think that's the word) are allowed in order to secure a pony tail.

Medical bracelets should not be removed, but rather covered with a soft wrist band.

Please forewarn your parents and players. Forewarned is forearmed!

As always, we hope the season is going well for you and we hope to see you on the Pitch!
