The entire Notre Dame Academy community bids a fond farewell to the following staff members who have so selflessly dedicated years of commitment, leadership and hardwork to decades of young women.

NDA Concert Choir

Come see the Notre Dame Academy Concert Choir perform music from Les Miserables, Westside Story, and the Wizard of Oz.
Congratulations to Concert Choir who recently received a Gold Rating at the Forum Music Festival.
Concert Choir will also be accompanied by the NDAE Children's Choir.

Congratulations to the Drama Department! Not only did NDA's actresses put on a wonderful play, but they also performed very well at the Shakespeare Festival. At the festival, all eight groups went into semi-finals. Four of the drama groups advanced to the finals. The department won the Sweepstakes Award for being one of the best schools overall. Go Gryphons!
All French I, II, and III students participated this year in the National French Contest/ Le Grand Concours, an annual competition sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French. Fifteen of NDA's French-speaking students will be receiving high honors from the association. Fellicitations! |

SOFTBALL
Down to their last outs in the bottom of the sixth inning, the NDA softball team rallied to beat Marymount 16-15 in a very exciting victory on April 23, 2013.
Kyla Wenzel held the hitters in check while home runs by Tyler Vicknair and Paige Kulberg provided the difference. Paige Kulberg's home run at the bottom of the sixth inning was the game winner.
The team continues to improve and will be playing in the El Segundo Tournament this weekend and next.
SWIM
The NDA Swim team finished league play with a sweep of Ramona Convent and head into tomorrow's league prelims poised for fast CIF qualifying times. Claire Gunderman has continued to shine this season along with outstanding performances by Katherine Herbst, Emily Tomchak, Cameron McDermott, Michaela McDermott, Brianna Tepper and Kameron Fisher.
TRACK AND FIELD
The NDA track team impressed at the Sunshine League prelims yesterday with some outstanding performances.
Tahara Sandfield was the top qualifier in the 400 meter dash, Dayna Grundy was the top qualifier in the 100 hurdles with a school record and nearly broke the school record in the triple jump with a top qualifying mark of 35'11.5" just three inches from the school record. She also qualified in the long jump.
 Other finalists included Madison Evans (1600, 300 Hurdles), Francesca Caruncho (100 hurdles, 300 hurdles, triple jump, high jump), Ugo Ogbunamiri (top qualifier for 100 and 200 meter dash), Torrie Mitchell (100, 200, long jump), Chanel Davis (400, triple jump), Deema Azab (800), Mishka Caruncho (800), Milagro Jean-Marie Tucker (100), Allie Handal (1,600 and 3,200), Noreen McGonigle (3,200), Aarin Henning (discus) and Samantha Hollis (shot put).
