Celebrate Easter at St. Luke's
March 27

Easter Egg Hunt - March 26 @ 11:00 a.m.

Add St. Luke's Easter Egg Hunt to your calendar and make it a date to celebrate Spring with us again this year.  Children ages 10 or under are welcome to hunt, with special areas designated for younger children. The Easter Bunny will visit again this year, so bring your camera for some great photo ops.

If you would like to support our Easter Egg Hunt this year, you can help by bringing some stuffed plastic eggs to the church by 9:00 a.m. on 3/26. Please no chocolate and make sure candy is individually wrapped.  Stickers or small toys would be a good choice too.

Good Friday Service - March 25 @ 7:00 p.m.

Please join us on Good Friday at 7:00 p.m. for a Service of Remembrance and Darkness. This meaningful worship experience will begin with Holy Communion, commemorating Christ's last supper, and end with the Service of Darkness, Christ's final hours on the cross.  Our choir will be joined by guest violinist, Quan Jiang, as they present selections recounting the seven last words of Christ.

One Great Hour of Sharing
Special Offering on Sunday

A gift to
One Great Hour of Sharing enables the church to share God's love with our neighbors-in-need around the world by providing relief to those affected by natural disasters, providing food to the hungry, and helping to empower the poor and oppressed. Look for an insert in your Sunday bulletin to learn how your donations make a real difference in people's lives. The OGHS collection will be taken on Easter Sunday.

St. Arnold's hosts fundraiser for
The Souper Bowl of Caring

Football sesaon may be over, but you can still help #TackleHunger in Houston.  A first-ever fundraiser will be held at Saint Arnold Brewing Company on Tuesday, March 29, from 6-9 p.m. Buy your tickets early ($25) or pay at the door ($30). You will enjoy open taps, light bites and a raffle ticket.  All proceeds benefit Souper Bowl of Caring, a Houston-based, national nonprofit that St Luke's supports during Super Bowl season.  For every $1 St. Arnold's receives, $19 will be generated for charities.  You can visit the Souper Bowl of Caring website to purchase tickets.

A Closing Prayer
Easter is a day of celebration, for on this day God revealed the depth of God's grace. For when everything seemed dark  and all hope seemed to be sucked out of the world, God revealed the truth that truly nothing can separate us from the love of God: Neither powers nor depths, nor darkness, nor death. When we give our lives to Christ, we discover this same promise. God is with us always, shining light in the darkness.
