This Sunday is always an exciting Sunday as we will ordain our newly elected class of elders for the class of 2018. Let me thank Laura, Tom, and Julie for answering God's call to serve the congregation in this important role. Many people think a church just happens. A minister walks in on Sunday morning, worship is done and everybody goes home for the week, but that is not the case. Without the dedication of volunteers, the selfless service of our ruling elders, and the hard work of our staff, St. Luke's would cease to exist. A very special and warm thanks goes to Carol Wilson, Brian Heins, and Tony DeFalco for their service to our church for the last three years. You have blessed us and I pray that God will continue to bless you.
So a big thank you for all who serve here. Thank you is not even close to enough. Everyone have a happy new year. Go Texans!
Love,

A Closing Prayer
O God our Father, creator of the world and giver of all good things: We thank you for our home on earth and for the joy of living. We praise you for your love in Jesus Christ, who came to set things right, who died rejected on the cross and rose triumphant from the dead. Because he lives, we live to praise you, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, our God forever. Amen.
