As we prepare our hearts and minds for stewardship, I am pleased to announce we will be releasing a stewardship devotional for the final week of our campaign. It is my hope that with prayerful consideration you will give generously to ensure the future ministry of St. Luke's Presbyterian Church.
While the financial aspect of stewardship is extremely important let us not forget that your time and talent is equally so. Our church runs almost completely by volunteers. It is volunteers that make sure our Sunday mornings run smoothly. It is volunteers that help Mary Ann get out necessary communications to the community. It is volunteers that are the hands of Christ in our community.
So, as you fill out your stewardship commitment and think about what you are giving the church in the coming year, please consider your time and plan on helping us be the body of Christ to those in need.
. Have a blessed week,

Volunteers to Star of Hope November 15
On November 15 volunteers will go to the Star of Hope to help with lunch service at the Transitional Living Center. Volunteers leave St. Luke's after 10:00 a.m. worship. Add your name to the sign up sheet in the narthex or call the church office to let us know you are going. If it's your first time to volunteer, fill out a volunteer interest form on the Star of Hope website. Instructions can be found in the SOH Guidelines found on the literature rack in the Narthex.

Little Free Library needs children's books
Our Little Free Library has been busy! Neighbors tell us that they enjoy the convenience of stopping by the library as they walk in the neighborhood or as they drop off or pick up children from school. Children are especially eager to find a book for themselves and right now we have a critical need for children's books. We could use your help to replenish our supply. If you can help, a basket is in the narthex for your donations.

A Closing Prayer
Every moment, we have the chance to breathe in your goodness and grace; every hour, we have opportunities to share your love and hope; every day, we have occasions to rest in the comfort of your heart. In you, we discover the fullness of time. In every challenge we face we can find the strength to persevere. In every person we meet, we can find the blessing you have sent; in every need we encounter, we can find the help you would have us offer. In you, we discover the fullness of life. God in Communion, Holy in One, in you we discover the fullness we long for. Amen.
