Rev. Harbison
It is a busy time at St. Luke's and I hope you are taking full advantage of all the wonderful opportunities for fellowship, education, and service we are offering. These opportunities are really amazing and they are two-fold. You receive a blessing by participating and you bless others by your participation.

That's the way church is. The more you put in with your time and talents, the more you will get out through God's spirit working through you. Participation in the life of the church is the key in seeing God participating in your life.

I hope to see you at: our Dinner Club,  our Tuesday Bible studies,  Sunday School classes, the Star of Hope, worship on Sunday, our Potluck lunches . . . you get my point.

Here's knowing that God is blessing you in all that you do.

Love,

Live Nativity Planning Underway!

Nativity 2010 Last Sunday's meeting  was very productive with enthusiastic volunteers offering to assist with our Live Nativity on December 9.  Thanks to everyone who volunteered to help with lights, sound, refreshments, props and those who will be part of our "cast". We still need angels, shepherds, and townsfolk. Our master plan is coming together!  If you are interested in being a part of Live Nativity 2015, please call the church office for more information. .

New Women's Bible Study Forming!

Beginning September 3!
Please join the women of St. Luke's for WOW (Women of the Word) starting Thursday, September 3.  We will meet at 6:00 p.m. at St. Luke's. Dinner will be served.  It will be a time of fellowship and Bible study. Please contact Laura Smith  at [email protected] or call her at 281.381.5706  for more information or if you need a ride.

Dinner Club

dinner club
Join us for our Dinner Club gathering on September 21 at Hunan's, 3835 Bellaire Blvd. Hunan's is a favorite of many of our members for Sunday lunch. Here's a taste of their menu.

If you haven't been a part of our Dinner Club yet you are missing out on a fun time.  It's an opportunity to get to know folks a little better around a table of good food and conversation. Add our Dinner Club dates to your calendar!

A Closing Prayer

Savior God, welcome us into your household,
that we may bathe in the light of your grace.
Inspire us with your word,
that we may rejoice in the glory of your ways.
Strengthen us with your Spirit,
that we may go forth to serve you
  with passion and purpose,
in all that we say, and in all that we do.
