It's finally here! Easter, the big kahuna of Christian celebrations. The culmination of our faith is all wrapped into this one day. I hope that you will celebrate with us this year as we remember, bear witness, and rejoice in the resurrection of our Lord.
* Remember This Thursday at 12:30 and 7:00 p.m. we will celebrate Maundy Thursday. During this brief service we will follow the commandment to break bread and pass the cup in remembrance of Christ's death and resurrection.
* Bearing Witness This Friday at 7:00 p.m. we will bear witness to the passion of our Lord and Savior in song and meditation. This meaningful service recalls the darkness that can be in all of us and how the light overcomes it.
* Rejoice Easter Sunday will be significant this year at St. Luke's. We welcome our confirmation class into full membership in our congregation and celebrate that the tomb was empty and that Christ has risen so that we might have life and life abundant.
We will also remember some of the joyful times of childhood as we celebrate the spring tradition of our annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 3.
I hope you have blessed weekend and I will see you here at St. Luke's on Easter Sunday.
Love,

More than 60 years ago, American Christians joined together to respond to the worldwide devastation caused by World War II. Recognizing what a difference we can make when we work together in Christ's name, Presbyterians have continued to support One Great Hour of Sharing ever since. Our gifts support the ministries of Self Development of People, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, and the Presbyterian Hunger Program. The OGHS collection will be taken on Easter Sunday.

Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, April 4 @ 11:00 a.m.
Be a part of the fun on April 4 and volunteer to hide eggs, greet our guests, and show the children to the age-appropriate areas. We also need eggs to be stuffed with treats and gift cards or prepared Easter baskets for prizes. Volunteers will meet at the church at 9:30 a.m. to prepare for the event. If you can help, call the church office, 713.667.6531, or just show up!

A Closing Prayer
O God, you gave your only Son to suffer death on the cross for our redemption, and by his glorious resurrection you delivered us from the power of death. Grant us so to die daily to sin, that we may evermore live with him in the joy of his resurrection; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen from The Book of Common Worship
