Torrington Woman's Club
Working with California club to keep people warm
In January, the club received a call from the President of the Palo Alto Woman's Club - originally a Torrington native. Their Club had made scarves but because their winter was mild they did not need as many of them as they thought.

In hearing about the Northeast's winter, and with the stipulation that the scarves would be given to the local homeless shelters and the needy,
the 53 warm and beautiful scarves were sent to Torrington and were then brought to the local Fish shelter and the Susan B. Anthony Project office.
