Christina Wilson (absent were Margaret Nourse and her daughter)
At our August 10th Board Meeting, I had announced that your GFWC/CT President was invited as one of the special guests to an event hosted by Friends of Fisher House and Kevin Creed, Esq. Volunteer Director.
GFWC/CT was invited in appreciation of our donation of $1000.00 to the House this past year along with other contributors. Margaret Nourse, our Chairman for Veteran's, made the donation from the Veteran's funds to help support the building for this New (Fisher House) in West Haven.

The fundraising benefit event took place on a balmy, Sunday night, September 1st at the Rock Cat Stadium, which coincided with the Harley -Davidson 110th Anniversary Rally Ride, both of the sponsors for the Evening.
We were invited to the Rock Cat's Luxury Box for a buffet dinner, to watch the game, view the fireworks display at night and at the end of the festivities the raffling off of a Harley Motorcycle.
