Since 2006, members of the club have hand-sewn some 900 preemie blankets. News from Sheila Vetter

Third Vice President

October is fast coming to an end and so are the planning meetings for District Day 2014. Five District Directors have already held their planning meetings with only two to go!

Amazing District Days are emerging from these planning meetings. The District Directors and Club Presidents in each District are planning exciting and fun filled days for your enjoyment. Should you be one of the newer members who have not yet attended a District Day please plan to attend in 2014. Your club may be receiving an award, you will hear what clubs in your area have accomplished, you will have the opportunity to meet other Woman's Club members and entertainment is also being planned. Sounds like a great day to me.

Membership should always be on every club woman's mind. We are the "Sole of the Federation" and as such must be out there bringing in new members all the time. There may be a Seasonal Recruitment Campaign but there is no season on new members.

"Love your volunteer work? Then pass it on! Spread the work to those in your community. Share your spirit of volunteering with all those around you. You'll be amazed when you enjoy something so much how contagious your enthusiasm can be to others. Step up and meet the challenge! Let your light shine by sharing your volunteer vision with others." Beverly Lassiter

Beverly's words speak for themselves. Let's make them ours!
