BASIS International Ltd. releases version 14.0 of Visual PRO/5�, PRO/5�, and PRO/5 Data Server� for Unix, completely rebuilt with the earliest supported operating systems and tested on the newest version of the OS supported by the vendors. Version 14 is in compliance with the accepted security guidelines that requires implementation of OpenSSL version 1.0.1h that includes resolution for the HeartBleed issue and subsequently discovered security vulnerabilities.

In addition to this significant security enhancement, version 14.0 addresses these customer reported issues and adds the following new features:

• Updated the OpenSSL libraries to version 1.01h

• Adds a new 9 $40$ SETOPTS bit that causes assignments to fixed-length template type N fields to be padded out with leading zeroes

• Adds a new STBL global variable that causes attempts to assign values to an integer template field that would ordinarily cause a sign overflow to generate an !ERROR=41 instead

• Corrects SELECT statements under Linux OS to no longer leave defunct processes
