Who Are We?

Twenty-seven households.  Aged from 4 weeks to 84 years.  Twenty-four women and eighteen men, plus seventeen youth aged 16 and under.  We work from home, commute in NH and to MA, and are retired.  We attend public, private and homeschool.  We own our homes and rent.  We value sustainability, community, farming and living lightly on the earth.

Greetings!

Tree Tapping
Need some help?

Happy sugaring season to you! With warm days and cold nights, we have tapped our maple trees for sap and plan to boil March 3rd (RSVP if you would like to attend). Dori (shown here) appreciated a younger neighbor's help while hanging the buckets yesterday.

We welcome our new neighbors Stacey and Justin and their two children (including Dori's helper shown here).  They have been enjoying our 113 acres (often the sandbox which can be seen from their house), when not busy checking out any action happening in the neighborhood. Meet them in the article below.

It has been unseasonably warm this winter with only a few snowstorms. This has made for some great skating on our pond and area lakes.

Farm Share
A typical farm share.

Spring will be here soon, and our resident farmer, Todd, has been preparing the Hoop House garden beds! We've expanded our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) from 35 to 45 shares this year and are continuing our donation to the local community center.  Contact Todd if you would like to join our CSA. Read his first newsletter of the season for news about the expanded offerings and joint venture with Mayfair Farm.

Check out the gift our neighbor, Tom, created as a thank you to community.

We hope to see you at an Open House 1st and 3rd Sundays, 2-4pm. We only have four homes left for sale.

Warmly,

Richard & Sage

Neighbor Profiles

We enjoyed a lunchtime gathering in the Common House recently to interview one another for bios. These are short descriptions of residents to post to the website. That way, folks like yourself can get to know us better. We shared lunch, played some games good for all ages (such as In the Manner of the Adverb and Pass the Ball) and interviewed each other in small groups. Although many of us have been living together as a community for as much as 4+ years, we learned many new things about each other and it was fun.

The profiles will be posted to our website soon. In the meantime, here is an abbreviated one that our newest residents sent to the community just before they moved in.

Our family consists of Justin, Stacey and our two preschool children. Justin likes to bike, Stacey likes to run,.. [click here to continue]

Chalk DrawingThanks Tom, who put in the time to collect and compose a great slide show review of Nubanusit. He was inspired to show his gratitude for finding our (his now!) community. It gets repeat requests for showing after dinners and other events in our Common House. You can watch it here (while there, check out our other YouTube videos).

Upcoming Events at Nubi

The next Open Houses are Sunday March 4th and 18th, 2-4pm.  RSVP if you would like to join us for potluck at 5:30.

On Thursday, March 22, at 7:15pm, Brad Miller of Nomad Farms will be speaking about Biodynamic farming practices. For more information, contact Barbara. Home tours will also be available by appointment.
Homes Available

There are four remaining homes available in the neighborhood.  They range in size from 2-bedroom to 3-bedroom and one even has a summer rental option.  Interested in a long-term rental?  A home may be available as soon as April 1.  Contact Richard if you would like more information.

This is the fine print text where you might tell your customers how the item will be shipped and, for example, if they are overseas that there will be additional shipping charges and must contact you.
