"My kids are so happy!"

Lee, Ruth, Clara & Bridges in their new home
Ruth & Bridges' Family on the stairs
"Living at Nubi (our shorthand for Nubanusit Neighborhood and Farm Cohousing) has exceeded our expectations!" declared new neighbor Bridges. Bridges moved in with his wife, Ruth, and their two daughters Lee (6 yo) and Clara (3 yo) in mid-July from outside of Boston.

Ruth completely agrees, and says "I thought it would be a big adjustment, but it hasn't been. It's been easy because my kids are so happy. So much happier than where we were. There is so much for the kids to do here:  catch frogs, collect eggs from the chickens, pull rocks out of the field we are turning over, and harvest tomatoes. And there are all the other kids to play with.  It's completely different from where we previously lived."   Continued...
Got Solar?  Nubi homes to generate 46,000 kilowatt hours annually

Rooftop Solar
Not satisfied with merely generating all their heat and hot water needs from renewable energy (wood pellets), and taking advantage of a generous New Hampshire and federal incentives, Nubi residents are adding photovoltaic panels to generate electricity from the sun. The systems will be grid-tied, supplying energy to the utility for a credit on homeowners bills.  It is estimated that systems will pay for themselves in 10 years. The panels will generate 100% of some residences needs and overall nearly 74% of the total.
