NCC Summer 2014 Newsletter

Message From the CEO

June is the time to celebrate graduations, and this June all of us at NCC celebrated a graduation of our own.  On June 30th, NCC graduated from the Small Business Administration's (SBA) 8a Business Development program.  (Shameless plug - clients who still wish to get to us through direct award can for 7 more years on the GSA 8a STARSII vehicle!)  The purpose of the 8a Program, according to the SBA, is to act as "an essential instrument for helping socially and economically disadvantaged entrepreneurs gain access to the economic mainstream of American society.  The program helps thousands of aspiring entrepreneurs to gain a foothold in government contracting."  NCC is a shining example of how a company can successfully utilize the marketing advantages of the 8a Business Program to "gain a foothold in government contracting."

Since being accepted into the 8(a) Program nine years ago, we have grown from 5 to 100 employees, added more than 20 government agencies as regular clients, and established a half-dozen strong partnerships with medium and large primes.  We have bolstered our infrastructure, assembled a world-class executive team, and hired expert employees in order to broaden our capabilities and increase competitiveness.  In short, we have equipped ourselves to compete effectively after our graduation from the 8a Program.

All of us at NCC are extremely grateful to the SBA and our clients who have been instrumental in helping us achieve great success since our founding 12 years ago.  We appreciate the support you have given us and we look forward to continuing to serve you as a certified Small Business!
