Georgia BikeFest
 The weather is turning cooler and the leaves will be changing color soon, so don't delay. Make plans now to join your friends and other cyclists at the 22nd annual Georgia BikeFest, October 11 - 13, 2013, in Columbus, GA. You can download a paper registration and mail it in or register online at RaceIt with your credit card. If you can't ride the entire weekend, we have a daily rate. Due to the late addition of the free wine tasting, BRAG has extended the date the late fee applies to Friday, October 4. Make a commitment and register now to enjoy a Fall weekend doing what you love...cycling! Café Campesino will be at Georgia Bikefest to jump start your mornings with their delicious BRAG Brew. You can then choose from the various mileage options each day: Friday - 50, 46, 23, or 12 miles; Saturday - 100, 60, 40, or 22 miles (Century fully supported); and Sunday - 41, 28, or 16 miles. Ride On Bikes will be with us each day providing technical support. Rest stops will be staffed by Country's BBQ volunteers and benefits the Children's Miracle Network.  To enjoy your stay in Uptown Columbus begin by attending the Yoga Class at BRAG HQ at 3:30pm. Then head Uptown and start your Friday evening with Happy Hour at The Loft Upstairs from 4pm - 6pm. Dine in one of the restaurants Uptown, and then listen to D.S.O.S, aka Deeper Shades of Soul from 7pm - 9pm. Check them out on Facebook. You can also enjoy the campfire and S'mores back at BRAG HQ at dark. Saturday afternoon and evening will be more of the same. There will be another Yoga Class at 3:30pm at BRAG HQ. Stay for the free wine tasting sponsored by  Quality Wine & Spirits at BRAG HQ from 4pm - 5pm. Then Happy Hour again at The Loft from 5pm - 6pm. $2 Fat Tire beer both evenings. Relax in Uptown Columbus and listen to the band while dining at one of the many restaurants Uptown. Campfire and S'mores will again be back at BRAG HQ. And, during the weekend anytime, you can catch your favorite ballgame, whether it is baseball or football, at The Loft. |

BRAG 2014
 BRAG 2014 will be a linear route again this year. The dates are June 8 - 14. Our tentative, unconfirmed route is to begin in Elberton, with overnight stops in Thomson, Waynesboro, Metter, Jesup, and end in Darien. Plans are already underway and routes are being developed for BRAG 2014. Get a jump on next year's registration. You can download a paper registration at and send it in with a check. Early Bird online registration with a credit card is also available.

Riveria Maya Bicycle Adventure 
Team BRAG is headed back to old Mexico after an absence of a few years. BRAG's Riviera Maya Bicycle Adventure (RMBA) will be January 6 - 13, 2014, hosted by our buen amigo, Kenneth Johnson of EcoColors Tours in Cancun. Bicycle through the Yucatan Peninsula from the jungle to the thatched-roof villages of the modern Mayan world. Discover the archaeological sites of Tulum, Chichen Itza, Muyil, and Coba'. There are many cenotes (fresh water holes) along your daily route for swimming. Explore the Sian Ka'an Biosphere National Park and snorkel in the world's second largest coral reef. The Cotton South Fine Arts Festival
VOLUNTEERS NEEDEDThe BRAG Spring Tune-Up has been enjoying the assistance and hospitality of Madison and Morgan County for the past 10 years... and now there's an opportunity to return the favor for one of our most dedicated Rest Stop Captains there.  Tim Reilly is developing The Cotton South Fine Arts Festival, scheduled for September 27, 28, & 29, 2013 in Madison, and needs volunteers for a variety of Festival related tasks. From helping the artists load-in and load-out to booth sitting, parking, and manning the gates, there's a place for everyone... young, old, or in-between. Volunteers will receive free admission to the Festival weekend, a commemorative event t-shirt, and access to the Festival Merchant Discount Program, for the Best in Festival value. Georgia Bike Summit
 The 4th annual Georgia Bike Summit Presented by the Tony Serrano Century Ride will be held in Roswell, GA from October 18 - 20, 2013. This year's theme is The Bicycle: Georgia's New Economy.
Our Keynote Speaker will be Jim Sayer, Executive Director of the Adventure Cycling Association. Workshops and breakout sessions will emphasize the many economic benefits of creating bike friendly communities. As with previous Summits, there will be a number of social events and bike rides to round out the weekend.

Lt. Governor Casey Cagle Charity Ride
Come and enjoy a day of riding at Lt. Governor Casey Cagle's Charity Ride, Saturday, October 19, 2013. The ride begins at Chestnut Mountain Church in Flowery Branch, GA. There are various mileage options to choose from along with rest stops and SAG support. This charity ride supports the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Greater Purpose Charity which helps deserving youth from single-parent homes to attend summer athletic camps to promote personal growth and healthy, active lifestyles.
