Georgia BikeFest
Make plans now to join your friends and other cyclists at the Georgia BikeFest, October 11 - 13, 2013, in Columbus, GA. You can download a paper registration and mail it in or register online at RaceIt with your credit card. If you can't ride the entire weekend, we have a daily rate. Café Campesino will be at Georgia Bikefest to jump start your mornings with their delicious BRAG Brew. You can then choose from the various mileage options each day: Friday - 49, 23, or 12 miles; Saturday - 100, 60, 40, or 22 miles (Century fully supported); and Sunday - 41, 28, or 16 miles. The mileage is subject to change once the final routes are complete. Begin your Friday evening with Happy Hour at The Loft Upstairs in Uptown Columbus from 4pm - 6pm. Dine in one of the restaurants uptown, and then listen to the band from 7pm - 9pm. You can also enjoy the campfire and S'mores back at BRAG HQ at dark. Saturday evening will be much of the same. In place of the band, there will be a wine tasting sponsored by Quality Wine & Spirits. Campfire and S'mores will again be back at BRAG HQ. And, during the weekend anytime, you can catch your favorite ballgame, whether it be baseball or football, at The Loft Upstairs.

DID YOU KNOW?Certified Police Officers who agree to serve on BRAG's Security Team get to ride for free. Our security needs generally involve questioning local youngsters who are roaming through camp, asking partiers to quiet down at 10 pm, and asking riders to be more discreet with contraband beverages. If you are interested in helping out, contact Sgt. Steve Gatlin, Macon PD, scubastevegatlin@gmail.com, before the ride. Crime Does Not Pay on BRAG, thanks to our Security Team. BRAG doesn't pay either, but we can offer you a free ride for your help. DID YOU KNOW: PART 2 - ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY PERSONNELMembers of the U.S. Military on active duty are exempt from paying BRAG late fees, including for on-site registrations. This exemption does not work with online registrations. Mail in your registration instead. Also, if you have to cancel before the ride for official military reasons, there is no BRAG service charge. This is BRAG's very small way of saying "THANK YOU" for your service to our country.
