Nominees for Board of Directors
As the end of the Chamber's fiscal year approaches, we are looking ahead to the future leadership of the Chamber. The Board-appointed Nominating Committee has nominated members of the Chamber to fill six open positions on the Board of Directors. The slate includes three new nominees and three current Directors who have been nominated to return for a second three year term.
New nominees are Punky Scott, Bomber Restaurant & Catering; Greg Monroe, Beemer, Smith, Monroe & Co. LLP and Bob Fowke, Business Efficiency Consulting. They join nominated incumbents Merilee Hinkle, Miles Fiberglass & Composites, Inc.; Michelle Waddell, General Sheet Metal and David Golobay, Sun Glow Inc., Heating & Air Conditioning.
This slate of nominees, presented by the Nominating Committee and approved by the Board of Directors, will be considered officially elected for terms beginning July 1, 2013 and serving until June 30, 2016 unless additional candidates are nominated by petition. A petition to nominate other candidates for consideration by the Board of Directors must be signed by five representatives from Chamber member businesses. The petition must be filed within 10 days of this notification of the above slate of candidates. The Executive Committee determines the eligibility of petition nominations and signatures and the full Board will vote on the candidates. If no petition is filed, nominations are closed and the slate of candidates presented above will be declared elected at the May Board of Directors meeting.
I would like to thank all the current Directors for their commitment of time and service this past year and especially recognize those retiring from the Board for their years of service to Your Chamber - Dick Jones, Member; Sheldon Penner, Amicus Data; Andrew Stein, Logotek, Inc.; Marc A.K. Burnham, American Medical Response and Greg Chaimov, Davis Wright Tremaine, LLP. These retiring Directors will be publically recognized at the June 27 Awards and Installation Banquet. I hope you are planing to attend this important and enjoyable event.
