Our successful and popular New Moon Stone Grinding service is an effective and affordable way to get the most out of your skis, and not just race skis - touring, kids’, race skis - they all benefit. We can even grind waxless skis! For this season, we are adding a special post-grind base cleaning and conditioning process to improve wax absorption and adhesion. Post-grind wax prep is important, also. New Moon offers Ski Sauna Hot Box Wax Treatment to all of our grind customers at a discount - take advantage of our Hot Box Service to "jump start" your skis for this season. New At The Moon

ace winter staffers return this Fall, but we're especially happy to introduce you to a special addition to the New Moon family - meet biathlete Andie Mayo. Andie joins us for the 14/15 season, taking a break from her biathlon schedule. A self-described nomad, she got her start in skiing near her childhood home at the Maine Winter Sports Center and moved on to train and compete with Biathlon Alberta Training Centre in Canmore, Alberta. Biathlon has taken her all over Europe and North America, but she’s happy to land in Hayward for a while. Now Joel (2X Jr Biathlon Nat. Champ) has someone who speaks his language at New Moon. Stop in and say HI to Andie!

FAT Bike Rentals And Demo Bike Sale

Curious about fat bikes? Stop in and rent a Specialized Fatboy this fall, or better yet, this winter! New Moon stocks all sizes of these fun machines in our demo fleet. The nearby Seeley Ski Trail is open to fat bikes and features a 10-mile, groomed, fat bike single track loop. We’ve also added new Specialized demo bikes to the fleet for fall rentals. On the topic of biking... Lead by New Moon Co-Owner and ace bike mechanic, Chris Young, New Moon helped spread the good word about cycling with free repair clinics, skills clinics, and on-site race tech support throughout the spring, summer, and fall. Co-Owner, Joel Harrison, held weekly road rides and  "Singletrack 101" instructional group rides introducing riders to a world of off-road biking fun. Up-and-coming New Moon cycling stars, Keely and Kyra Jackson also held a series of mountain bike skills clinics targeted at women and kids on our amazing CAMBA Trails. CAMBA recently received the designation of IMBA Bronze Ride Center status with some of the finest single track trails in the US. If you haven’t yet, stop in for trail maps or join us on your bike for one of our outreach events, group rides, or area races. We'll help steer you in down the right trail. You won’t be disappointed!
