Greetings!
OMA extends a big thank you to the elementary programs that participated in the NW Montessori Elementary Fair! It was a wonderful, rich evening with many parents visiting, and even a lesson demonstration from MINW's elementary trainer, Elise Huneke-Stone. The turnout was grand and we thank the children's house programs for letting their parents know about the event. Thanks to our volunteer board members, Julie Davis, Cathy Dorner, Hilary Smith, and David Cannon, and Kim Greer of Harmony Montessori. A big thank you to Janet Lewis of MINW for orchestrating our collaboration.
OMA is launching an exciting program with the International Montessori Congress fundraising/sponsorship committee. We are extending an invitation to member schools to share this sponsorship opportunity with parents and their businesses, in an effort to support fundraising for the Congress and increase local attendance. If your school has not yet joined OMA - contact us and we'll get you started or renewed. OMA reaches over 50 member schools and we are excited to offer this chance to raise funds, gain recognition for your schools at the Congress, and turn donated dollars into scholarships for staff members to attend.
Basically, when schools contact parents and connect their businesses with sponsorship, after the first $1,000 raised, the school gets each additional dollar back from the Congress in the form of admission for their staff! See the attached letter and flier for more information:
