Dear Lincoln Families:

Teacher Appreciation Week is drawing to a close. Our community has rallied to provide a week's worth of special thank you activities for our teachers. It is so heartening to see our Lincoln family come together to celebrate our incredible teachers.

I would personally like to express my appreciation for the thoughtful and loving way our teachers accomplish the hard work of teaching and caring for our students every day. Teaching is both art and science and our teachers are always working to get better at both for the benefit of our students.  THANK YOU!!!

Thank you to Jean Gordon and her committee for another fun Bingo Night. Our Lincoln community thrives because of amazing community building events such as this one. What a great message we give our students about the value of community when we come together to have fun and enjoy each other's company.

Another great community building event, the Lion Dance, is this Friday. I have been drawn to the MPR on a few occasions over the last few weeks by the sound of popular music and stomping feet. Under Mrs. Rossi's tutelage, our students are having a great time learning their dance moves. I hope you will be able to join us on Friday for barbecue and dancing.

It has been relatively quiet on campus this past week as our 5th and 3rd graders continue taking the new state testing. I am sure you have heard tales from your students about how long the test is. I am so proud as I visit class after class and see our students working hard and doing their best. They are showing great perseverance and resilience, traits that will stand them in good stead as they learn and grow both in and out of school.

Sincerely,

Pat
