Happy Thanksgiving From Advocates International
Dear Friends,

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.  There is much to be thankful for here at AI, including the amazing provision, through God's grace, and your prayers and support.  We are so blessed to have friends like you who support Advocates financially and especially with your prayers.

Our advocates around the globe are likewise blessed to be supported by your prayers.  Especially the wonderful report that we received from the CLAAS team in Pakistan.  Joseph Francis and his team wanted to share their thanks for all of the prayers for Rimsha Masih, and her family.  Rimsha was released from the fake blasphemy accusations against her.

IHC dismisses FIR against Rimsha Masih

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC), while hearing the blasphemy case against 14-year-old Christian girl Rimsha Masih on Tuesday, ordered to dismiss the FIR against her, Geo News reported.

While announcing the verdict, Chief Justice IHC Iqbal Hameed ur Rehman remarked that it is a highly sensitive matter and one must be extremely careful while leveling such charges against any one. Fake allegations should not be leveled against any Muslim or non-Muslim

Chief Justice IHC, in the 15-page judgment, said no one has seen Rimsha burning any pages. The verdict also included references from the holy Quran.

The IHC had reserved its verdict last week on an application seeking dismissal of the Rimsha Masih case.

Rimsha Masih was arrested on August 16 from a suburban area of Islamabad after she was accused of burning papers from the holy Quran, and later charged of blasphemy.

Later after the investigations, it was found that the cleric Khalid Jadoon Chishti had concocted the case against her, who was then arrested.

After Rimsha was released on bail on September 8, she and her family were shifted to an undisclosed location for security reasons.

Thank you so much for your continued prayers and financial support for the work of Advocates.

May the Lord bless you with His perfect . . .

Grace and peace,

Please be sure to Save the Date for this joint conference, "Transforming the World Through Faith & Law," which will be held in Hong Kong in April 2013.

We are already working hard on details related to this conference and will provide more information on speakers, location, registration costs and attendance limitations as they become available.  Because of the limited size of this conference, those interested in attending will need to contact their regional boards or the AI headquarters office.

Thank You for Your Financial Support

AI is not a recipient of government funding and is solely dependent upon the financial contributions of those who believe in its mission, thereby enabling it to serve "clients" ranging from heads of state seeking to implement constitutional reforms to persecuted and imprisoned believers sentenced to death for their faith. We are most grateful and thank you for whatever financial support or voluntary service you can provide in support of AI's mission. Here's how you can help: (more)
