The Coalition for the Homeless will host its annual World Homeless Day Luncheon on October 12, at 11:30 am at the Hilton Americas - Houston. This year's event is titled "The End Zone is in Sight," referencing both the success that the Houston region has seen in efforts to solve homelessness, and the work that still lies ahead.

Ric Campo (Camden, Houston Super Bowl Host Committee) will be welcomed as the keynote speaker for this event. He is an advocate for homeless individuals and has been a large supporter of the region's efforts in solving homelessness, including serving on the Mayor's Leadership Team on homelessness.
During the event, the Coalition for the Homeless will also present its 2016 World Homeless Day Awards to deserving individuals, agencies, and organizations. The Coalition is currently accepting nominations; click here to nominate someone you know!
Multiple Coalition Staff Members Presented at National Conference
The National Alliance on Ending Homelessness (NAEH) held its 2016 National Conference on Ending Homelessness from July 25-29 in Washington, DC. The conference brings together homeless service providers, formerly homeless individuals and others from all over the United States to network and hear from experts and colleagues about best practices and proven strategies to prevent and end homelessness.

Nominate Someone You Know for our 2016 World Homeless Day Awards!
Nominations are now open
for the 2016 World Homeless Day Awards. Each year, the Coalition recognizes individuals, organizations, businesses, collaboratives and more for their outstanding commitment to solving homelessness.
This year, the ten award winners will be presented during the Coalition's World Homeless Day Luncheon, "The End Zone is in Sight" to be held on October 12. Nominations are open until August 31. Email Sara Brown at firstname.lastname@example.org
