2014 Lunch & Learn Series
The Coalition for the Homeless will offer its Lunch & Learn series again in 2014. The first Lunch & Learn this year will be held on Wednesday, March 12, from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm, at the United Way of Greater Houston.This Lunch & Learn will focus on the topic of youth transitioning from foster care, featuring an overview of the HAY Center and spotlight on the YWCA W.I.L.D. Program. Also, a panel will present "lessons learned" from the National Conference on Ending Family and Youth Homelessness.

Other topics at future Lunch & Learn events include: a report on the 2014 Homeless Count, mental health and homelessness assessments, and a report on the Community Needs Assessment and Gaps Analysis.

New Coalition Calendar 
Be sure to check out the Coalition for the Homeless' new and improved events calendar. This calendar was created In an effort to provide partner agency staff, collaborators, and community members with robust information on trainings, and educational opportunities in addition to Coalition and CoC meetings and forums. 

A list of immediate events will still be available on the "Upcoming" sub-page, but the embedded calendar will provide event details, registration links, and more.

Coalition to Host Debrief on NAEH, Housing First Conferences
The Coalition for the Homeless will host its semi-annual conference debrief on Monday, March 24, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at 600 Jefferson Street (Ground Floor Conference Room). Participants from the National Conference on Ending Family and Youth Homelessness (February 18-19) and the Housing First Partners Conference (March 12-14) are invited to share lessons learned and best practices to continue to inform and educate the Houston/Harris County Continuum of Care.
