Serving Those Who Serve The Homeless
Coalition Releases Digital Progress Report
The Coalition for the Homeless of Houston/Harris County is excited to announce the publication of its Progress Report towards ending homelessness in our community. The report highlights the history of the organization and the "Three Decades of Achievement" luncheon, as well as recent achievements in our community, such as the progress towards ending veteran homelessness.

The report also contains a two-page infographic spread with updated homeless numbers from Houston, and the rest of the state, and other key statistics that provide insight into understanding homelessness.

2014 Homeless Count
Stand Up and Be Counted!
How many people are homeless in Houston, and Harris and Fort Bend counties? How are veterans, families, children, and vulnerable populations affected by homelessness? The Coalition for the Homeless works to help answer these questions by conducting an annual Homeless Count, and your help is needed! Click here to fill out the volunteer registration form.

2014 Homeless Count
Dates: January 16 - Required Orientation
January 23 & 30 - count from 5:30 - 11:30 pm
Where: All of Houston, and Harris and Fort Bend Counties

The annual Homeless Count is a requirement of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the local Continuum of Care funding process which brought more than $25,000,000 to our community in the 2012 fiscal year. On the night of the count, volunteer teams will be placed at designated staging areas across Houston, and Harris and Fort Bend County.
