Interview by Trish Bredar
Kristin Williams is a Career Counselor & Academic Outreach Coordinator with Career Services.
A Colorado transplant from West Virginia, Kristin attended CU ('04-'08) and received a Bachelor's of Arts in Integrative Psychology before pursuing a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a specialization in Career Counseling, from Denver Seminary. Kristin has been with CU Career Services since Fall 2013 and focuses on career counseling and outreach to academic affairs. Among meeting one-on-one with students for career counseling, Kristin is a campus coordinator for the Workforce Recruitment Program in partnership with Joe Andenmatten from Disability Services.
In this interview, Kristin discusses potential graduate student opportunities available through the Workforce Recruitment Program, a government-run referral and recruitment service for students with disabilities. Noting graduate students' past success in the program, Williams says that, "employers are often seeking their skill sets to fill critical roles within their organization."
