Happy holidays!

I wanted to take a moment and connect with you during this special time of year. The holiday season can be a season of many emotions, ranging from joy, gratitude, happiness and for some loss, sadness and loneliness. This year it is a very happy, joyful time for our family. My heart grows as I experience this holiday season through the eyes of my son Kenny, and experience special moments as a family. Today I am grateful and take nothing for granted.  I am sharing this video message with you today, with the intention that whatever this holiday highlights for you that this ritual of giving yourself the gift of time will bring an inner strength, a deeper sense of gratitude, a new level of joy and fulfillment and an unwavering knowing that you can count on YOU.

During this time of year, many of us experience a variety of rituals, whether it's taking time to put up a Christmas tree, special gatherings with your loved ones, going to festive events etc. I would like you to consider another ritual that could prove to be one of the most important rituals you do and that is giving yourself the gift of time. When I talk about the gift of time, what I'm really talking about is taking the time to step back and look at your life. As an entrepreneur, you are your business, how you feel, the clarity you have, the focus you have makes the difference in creating what you really want in your life. 

You will see below, I am sharing with you a template (a series of questions) to work through review and reflect on 2012. We're living this life, let's embrace it, let's get connected with the richness and wealth of knowledge our life journey has to share. Who have you become over the year? How did you grow? What people made a difference in your life? What insights did you get? Then from that reflection and acknowledgement of what happened in 2012, you can begin to build on that strong foundation for what you want in 2013. One of the creations that I am most proud of is an ebook that I wrote in the beginning of my career. It's almost 20 years old and it's timeless and it's all about a new approach to goal setting.

This is a conversation that I have often with my clients and it's taking the time to get clear on what your values are. What's most important to you? What gives you passion and fulfillment? Then design your life around that. • when challenges come our way - we can still be happy. (Have you ever met someone who just got fired from their job, going through a divorce, or experiencing a health challenge and they still exude joy. Now that is living a successful life.) 

When we consciously design our life aligned with our values, life gets immeasurably richer - and easier.  

Take a moment right now and pull out your calendar, block out a chunk of time between now and the New Year and give yourself the gift of investing in yourself and your future. Remember, you are your business and giving yourself the gift of time helps you be the best you.
