Year-Long Study Group -
Herbs that Support Health
Openings for new members

If you know some things about natural remedies or are interested in learning how to make natural remedies, there are current openings for new members in a well-established group.

The group meets once a month to discuss and make medicinal remedies. As much as possible, we use the plants that we grow at the Horsham PFEC farm location.

Membership is limited to 15 core group members. We are eclectic in our interests regarding health. We like to socialize during our remedy-making, yet we are all seriously committed to the study and use of plants for our health.

Who leads/teaches the group?  Each member is expected to lead twice a year in partnership with another member of the group.  All of us devote time to learning new things from books, websites, other groups and courses, and each other.  Members also come a couple of times a year to weed the herb beds, and to harvest herb plants when ready. This physical interaction with the plants at various stages enhances our knowledge and connection to the herbs, and is a significant part of the learning process.

Where and when do we meet?  We meet at the homes of group members who live close to the Horsham site. Summer times we meet where we can engage with the plants.  Meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of each month (except Nov. and Dec.) from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

What's the cost?  The annual dues is currently $40 to reimburse for supplies, and for access to websites, video programs or special presenters.

If interested in all of the above, please call or email Margaret Kinnevy -- kinnevy@gmail.com or (267) 934-4682. She will explain our process for accepting a new member.  If there is excess interest, we will start a waiting list to form a second group.
