I know I just sent you a Fertilizer earlier this week. Honestly, I just had to send this one too. I was compelled in prayer to use what means I have to put feet to what I believe is the Holy Spirit's prayer through me... that He would raise up Mothers and Fathers in the faith to walk with the people serving in worship at every local church.

This is an open letter to all the mothers and fathers in our congregations.
We need you.
You who have walked with God. Who know intimacy. Who listen to His Spirit. Who worship while washing dishes and tucking children into bed. Who are largely unadorned in the platform of your lives. Who know the shepherd's unseen hillside, but not the bright lights. Who live a life before the Lord God.
We need to untangle the trappings of the stage, the lights, and the monitor mixes. We need to help us celebrate hiddenness, invisibility, and obscurity. We need you to help us understand what truly grounds us. We need you to help us where our identity comes from.
Stand up mothers and fathers. Come to us, please? Take us by the hand and look into our eyes. Walk next to us on paths that you've already walked. Mentor us. Guide us. Inspire us. Encourage us.
Teach us the way of the Master.
I weep for this.

In plain terms, we need mature people in our churches to mentor and disciple the worship leaders, teams, and techs who serve in church. Preferably, you know nothing about music. But you have long built a highway in your hearts to Zion. And we need you to show us the way to go and do likewise.
