Hot Dogs & Cool Cats Gala was a Purr-iffic Success!
This year's gala was held on Saturday, December 7th at the luxurious Sarasota Yacht Club. The sold out crowd was greeted by three adorable shelter pets, enjoyed great wine, fabulous cuisine and a thrilling live auction that included trips to Lake Como, Italy and Aspen, CO!
Local stars Les McCurdy and Ken Sons hosted this evening of hilarity and famous comedian Elayne Boosler, back by popular demand, had the crowd laughing their paws off!
A huge THANK YOU our committee, volunteers and staff who worked tirelessly to make this event a success!

Holiday Hours
In celebration of the Holidays, we will be closed for adoptions on Wednesday, December 25th and Wednesday, January 1st. We will be open for adoptions during the week between Christmas and New Year's.

A BIG Thank You to JDubs Brewing Company and Coleman's Tavern
HSSC does not receive funding from any local, state or national government or national humane organization. We rely solely on the contributions from our community. That is why we are so thankful for businesses like JDubs Brewing Company and Coleman's Tavern. Both went out of their way and held fundraisers to raise much-needed funds for our shelter pets! JDubs raised nearly $400 in just two short hours and Coleman's Tavern hosted a Chili Cookoff totaling almost $1,200!
