This time of year we have many sharing opportunities to invest in to brightening the lives of others. The news, along with our mailboxes, are filled with valid passionate appeals. As we open our hearts to others we sometimes are unaware of the needs in our very own community. We drive our rural roads and don't realize the challenges that face some families in our neighborhoods.
Teaming up with the Argyle Community Civic League, who have carefully identified these families, our Bartonville Police Department is coordinating the effort and giving us, the Bartonville citizens, the opportunity to positively impact the lives of families and children right here in town. We have the opportunity to bless the lives of as many as nine families with 27 children between the ages of 3 to 18.
The wishes of these children are varied but they all share a common desire: to experience the joy and love the Christmas season is all about.
Click here for the full details and donation drop off locations. If you don't have time to stop in town hall and read the wish items on the Blue Santa tree give town staff a call and they will pull a special wish tag for you. If you dislike shopping drop off a monetary donation and a Blue Santa volunteer will do the leg work for you!
The deadline for contributions is next week, December 15th. We encourage you to show the giving spirit of Bartonville and bless a family in our community this season.
Merry Christmas,
Your Bartonville Town Council
