ICT Art Day of Giving: A New Day for the Arts in Wichita
The ICT Art Day of Giving (aka ArtDOG) is an unprecedented effort to raise awareness and money for the arts in Wichita over a single 24-hour period. The online fund-raising blitz will take place Friday, Feb. 28. ArtDOG is a project of The Arts Council, Wichita Community Foundation, Knight Foundation and Razoo.
The goal is to encourage people throughout the area to make a donation to their choice of 38 participating nonprofit arts and culture organizations in Wichita. These City of Wichita facilities and partner organizations are proud to be included in this important initiative:
Starting at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 28, donors may go online to artdayofgiving.razoo.com to donate. The donation period ends at 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 28. Donations are tax deductible, and each donor will receive a charitable contribution receipt by e-mail.
Organizations will be eligible for matching dollars based on what they raise. We encourage you to make a donation on Friday to Cowtown, the Indian Center, The Arts Council or the nonprofit organization of your choice. Wichita's diverse arts and culture environment makes our community a great place to live in and visit. The donations all participating organizations receive through ArtDOG will only help to increase Wichita's quality of life and attract tourists who boost our local economy!
Activity will be everywhere in Wichita on Feb. 28 to draw attention to ArtDOG and make it the largest Final Friday to date. ArtDOG is already a hit on YouTube. Watch the videos below to find out why:

Meet Us At The Keeper
Friday, February 28
6-8 p.m. (Please park at the Keeper of the Plains Plaza) ArtDOG is all about art -- and the Keeper of the Plains is one of the most recognizable pieces of art in Wichita. (Did you know its creator, Blackbear Bosin, was one of the founders of the Mid-America All-Indian Center?)
The Indian Center's ArtDOG celebration begins at the Keeper of the Plains Plaza at 6 p.m. Volunteers will lead you on a flashlight tour through the back grounds for "Storytelling Under the Stars." We promise that you will have an amazing experience! (The Indian Center would also like to thank Coleman for donating the flashlights.)
Your nighttime journey continues inside the Indian Center where Museum volunteers will be waiting to show you some of their favorite pieces in our collection.
To top off the evening, there will be a hot chocolate bar, a craft area for kids and Internet station set up to make ArtDOG donations.
This is a perfect way to spend quality family time together and celebrate your contribution to the Indian Center through ArtDOG. Be prepared to have so much fun that you won't want to leave!
